Cake
1 box butter cake mix
1 (3 oz) box instant vanilla pudding
3/4 cup water
1/3 cup sour cream
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup rum
1 tsp grated orange peel
4 eggs, beaten

Butter Rum Syrup or Vanilla Rum GlazeGlaze

Preheat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients, about 2 minutes and pour into a greased and floured tube pan or Bundt pan. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes; cool 15 minutes.

While cake is still in pan, pour syrup over it. Let set in pan for 30 minutes. (If using glaze, remove from pan before topping with glaze.

Butter Rum Syrup:
1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup water
1/2 tsp rum flavoring

Place all ingredients, except flavoring, in small saucepan. Bring to a boil. Cook until sugar is dissolved. Add flavoring. Pour hot syrup on cake.

Vanilla Rum Glaze
1/2 cup vanilla ready-to-spread frosting
2 tsp dark rum
1/4 cup chopped pecans

Place frosting in microwave oven for 15 seconds. Stir in rum and pour over top of cake, allowing to drizzle down sides. Sprinkle with pecans over frosting. Stor loosely covered.
