1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 cup sugar and water
3 (1 oz) squares unsweetened chocolate
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup evaporated milk

Combine first 3 ingredients; cook to a soft ball stage (236). Remove from heat; add chocolate squares and stir until chocolate melts. Add vanilla. Slowly add evaporated milk; mix thoroughly. Cool. This should be heated in a jar in hot water for hot fudge Sundays. Makes 3 1/2 cup sauce.
