2/3 cup beer
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/3 cup salsa ketchup or ketchup
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
4 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp paprika and chili powder
1/4 tsp pepper
6 top loin steaks, cut 1 inch thick

In a small saucepan, combine ingredients except steak, bring to a boil and reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Cool. Use a sharp knife to score steaks on both sides. Place steaks in a resealable bag in a large bowl. Pour marinade over steaks. Seal bag and turn steaks to coat. Marinate in the refrigerator at least 1 hour or up to 24 hours. Remove steaks from bag; reserve marinade.

Place steaks on grill rack, uncovered, over medium-hot coals. Grill, uncovered, for 12-15 minutes; turning the meat halfway through grilling.

Meanwhile, place reserved marinade in a small saucepan; bring to a full boil. Cook and stir for 1-2 minutes. Serve with steaks.
