20 butter crackers
1/8 tsp grated lemon rind, nutmeg and cream of tartar
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg white

Preheat oven to 400. Place crackers on a cookie sheet. Blend next 4 ingredients. Beat egg white until stiff, but not dry. Slowly add sugar mixture to egg whites, beating until meringue make stiff and glossy peaks. Drop a tsp on each cracker. Bake for 30 minutes or until gold brown. Cool away from direct drafts.
