Base
1 cup flour
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar

Filling
2 beaten eggs
1 cup brown sugar
4 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 cup coconut
1 cup crushed pineapple, drained

Base: Preheat the oven to 400. Mix the flour, butter and brown sugar until crumbly, and then pat down in a well-greased 8 inch square baking pan. Bake for 10 minutes. Let cool.

Filling: Preheat the oven to 350. Mix together the beaten eggs, brown sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, coconut and pineapple. Pour the filling ingredients onto the cooled crust. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until well browned. Note: These squares may be served with or without a plain icing.
