Ingredients:

Calamari 1 Pound
Buttermilk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
All purpose seasoning 2 Tablespoon (Frog Bone)
Grape seed oil 4 Cup (64 tbs) (For deep frying)

FOR COATING MIX
All purpose seasoning 4 Tablespoon (Frog bone)
Masa de harina 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Fine cornflour)
All purpose flour 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Clean Calamari by removing its inner gizzard, wings and skin. Clean the tentacles.

2. Slice calamari into 1/4 inch rings.

3. Mix 2 tablespoon all purpose seasoning into buttermilk. Soak calamari in buttermilk for about two hours.

4. Heat oil in deep fryer to about 375 F.

MAKING

5. Mix fine cornflour with all purpose flour and all purpose seasoning to make coating mix.

6. Coat the squids in coating mix and deep fry for not more than 1 1/2 to 2 minutes.

SERVING

7. Serve fried calamaris with a marinara sauce and lemon slices.

I suggest a Spicy Marinara sauce, but you pick your favorite one.
