- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 can (15 ounce size) beef broth
- 1 envelope onion soup mix
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 can (16 ounce size) tomato sauce
- 1 can (15 ounce size) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 2 teaspoons cocoa powder
- 1 can (12 ounce size) cola
Heat a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, stirring frequently, until the beef is cooked. Drain off any excess grease. Add the salt, beef broth, onion soup mix, chili powder, cumin, black pepper, and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil then reduce the heat to a simmer. Let simmer for 15 minutes, uncovered. Add the kidney beans, cocoa powder, and cola. Mix well and cook until the beans are heated. Serve hot.
