Serves/Makes: 14
Ready in: 1-2 hrs
- 1 package (15-17 ounce size) spice cake mix
- 4 whole eggs
- 3/4 cup oil
- 1 cup milk
- 1 can caramel frosting
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Break eggs into a mixing bowl and beat by hand. Add all remaining ingredients EXCEPT frosting. Mix well by hand. Fold in frosting. Grease and flour a 12 cup tube or angel food cake pan. Pour mix in evenly. Place cake pan on a cookie sheet and place in the oven. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. If you want, only use 2/3 of the frosting in the mix. Microwave the remainder until soft and drizzle over the cake. Cook's Notes: Do NOT use a mixer to make this cake. It incorporates too much air into the batter and the cake will overflow in the oven. Hence the name "Crawlin Cake".
