1 head cabbage
1 onion
1/2 cup diced bacon (uncooked)
chicken stock, as needed
1 Tbsp butter or margarine, cut in bits
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.


1. Slice the cabbage into 1/2-inch thick slices. Slice the onion thinly.
2. Layer the cabbage, onion, and diced bacon in a baking pan. Add enough stock to fill the dish about 1/2-inch full.
3. Sprinkle the cabbage with salt and pepper. Dot with the butter.
4. Cover the pan with foil and place in the oven. Bake at 325 degrees F for 30-40 minutes or until the cabbage is tender.
5. Remove from the oven and serve hot.
