1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
4 eggs
1 can (16 ounce size) Hershey's chocolate syrup
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped nuts

***FROSTING***
1/2 cup butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup milk
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract


1. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beat well. Add chocolate syrup.
2. Sift dry ingredients together and add, beating well. Add vanilla and nuts.
3. Bake in a greased 9x13" pan at 350 degrees F for 50 minutes or until done.
4. Cool.

Frosting:
5. Mix butter, sugar and milk; boil 3 minutes. Make sure the sugar dissolves.
6. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips and vanilla.
7. Stir until spreading consistency.
