Moist, Delicious Banana Bread

Ready in: 1-2 hrs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter (softened, at least at room temperature)
- 2 eggs
- 3 mashed bananas (make sure they're good and ripe!)
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon natural vanilla extract (scant)
- 3/4 cup nut meats (optional)
- OR
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cream sugar and butter, and then add the rest of the ingredients, mixing very well. Place batter in a buttered 2 quart loaf pan, and bake for one hour. The version with chocolate chips is out of this world!
