Serves/Makes: 8
Ready in: > 5 hrs

  • 1 pound bulk Italian sausage
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 2 cans (10 ounce size) condensed tomato soup
  • 1 can (14 ounce size) pizza sauce
  • 6 cups water
  • 2 cups diced tomatoes
  • 8 ounces sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 4 ounces sliced black olives
  • 1 package (6 ounce size) pepperoni slices, diced if desired or left whole
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon dried basil
  • 2 tablespoons dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • freshly shredded Mozzarella cheese

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sausage, onion, and bell pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the sausage is cooked. Drain off any excess grease and transfer the meat and veggies to the crock pot.

Add the tomato soup, pizza sauce, water, tomatoes, mushrooms, olives, pepperoni, basil, oregano, onion powder, and garlic powder to the crock pot and stir to combine.

Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 3-4 hours.

Ladle the pizza soup into individual serving bowls. Top each serving with shredded mozzarella, if desired.
