- 5 1/2 pounds pot roast
- 2 cans (10.75 ounce size) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 package (1 ounce size) dry onion soup mix
- 1 1/4 cup water
Trim any excess fat from the roast and then place the roast in the crock pot. In a bowl, stir together the cream of mushroom soup, onion soup mix, and water. Mix well then pour over the roast in the crock pot. Cover the crock pot and cook on high heat for 3 hours or on low for 6 hours, or until the roast is tender. Serve the roast with the gravy from the crock pot, if desired.
