6 cups cooked cornbread. Not Jiffy, too sweet
8 slices dry bread
4 eggs
1 onion, chopped,
1 cup celery, chopped
1 1/2 tablespoon of sage and poultry seasoning mixed
1 teaspoon pepper
2 cans low sodium chicken soup
2 cans low sodium chicken or turkey broth
1/2 cup butter plus 1 tablespoon butter
Combine the crumbled breads
Saute the celery and onions over low heat until they are tender.
Mix the bread, onion, celery and all the other ingredients, except 1/2 cup butter, into a greased crock pot. Dot with the butter.
Cook 2 hours on high or 4 on low.
Can put into a dish and put under broiler if yyou want a crispy top)
This is different from regular baked dressing but is sure easy.
