This is an simple but awesome burger that all my friends rave over.
Makes 4-5 burgers
Ingredients:
1.5 lbs of 80/20 hamburger meat
Worcestershire sauce
1 Chopped white Onion
Sliced Smoked Cheddar (substitute cheese of your liking if you want)
8 slices of Bacon (We use Maple Bacon)
Salt/Pepper
Cayenne Pepper
Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning
4 Sesame Seed Buns
Fixin's - Lettuce/Tomato/Mayo/Mustard
Prep time 15 minutes
Cook time 15-20 minutes
1. Divide the hamburger meat into about 4 patties - 1/2 lb to 2/3rd lb patties (your choice)
2. Chop white onion into very thin and fine pieces. A Chopper or blender works well here. Onion should be thin and flexible, no chunks.
3. Sprinkle liberally with salt pepper and tony's seasoning.
4. Measure about 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper and divide among the 4-5 burgers.
5. Sprinkle a dash of lemon pepper on each burger
6. Pour about 1/4 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce on each burger (just eyeball it)
7. Mix and knead the onion into the burger by folding it in on itself and reshaping the pattie. Be sure to get it throughout.
8. Cook burgers to your desired wellness on a hot grill
9. Once burgers are completed, place slices of smoked cheddar on top and let melt into the top of the burger.
10. Toast buns on grill
11. Add Cooked Bacon and whatever fixings you enjoy.
After cooking, the onion does not crunch and adds an intense flavor without being overpowering. The smoked cheddar makes the burger creamy and amazing.
