  • 1 pound egg noodles
  • 1 can (10.75 ounce size) cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound beef chunks or ground beef
  • 1 onion, peeled and chopped
  • 1 can (10.75 ounce size) tomato soup, undiluted

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a large, shallow casserole dish.

Cook the noodles in boiling water as directed on the package. Drain well. Stir the cream of mushroom soup into the noodles and set aside.

Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion and beef and cook, stirring frequently, until the beef is well browned. Drain off any excess grease.

Stir the tomato soup into the beef mixture.

Place half of the beef mixture in the bottom of the prepared casserole dish. Add half of the noodle mixture in an even layer over the beef. Top with the remaining beef mixture then the remaining noodles.

Place the casserole dish in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until it is bubbly. Serve hot.
