Makes about 10-12 scones.

260 grams plain flour
50 grams white sugar
10 grams baking flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
75 grams butter cold chopped
1 large egg slightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
120 ml milk, half and half or full cream

Glaze with milk or beaten egg.

Preheat 375 degrees f or 190 degrees c

Mix all the dry ingredients together.
Add chopped butter mix till looking like course breadcrumb.
mix milk, cream or half and half with the egg and vanilla.
Add to crumbs mixture and mix till just combined or it will make it chewy and tough.
Bake for 15-18 mins or till a toothpick inserted into centre come out clean.
put on wire rack till cold.
these also freeze well.
