Category: Biscuits & Bread
Prep Time:       Cook Time:       Total Time:

2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
3 tsp baking powder
Warm water
Cooking oil
1/2 cup powdered milk

Combine dry ingredients, then slowly add enough warm water to form a dough. Knead on a floured surface. Until smooth. But not sticky. Cover and let set at least 15 minutes and up to an hour. Shape into balls, then pat to flatten to about 1/4 inch thick. Poke a hole in the center of each. Heat oil in an iron skillet. Brown both sides. Drain on paper towels.

These can be sprinkled with powdered sugar while hot, or you can build Indian tacos with them by layering taco fillings on them, but the sweet lady who gave me the recipe says, “But I just eat them plain!”
