6 Rennet tablets
1/4 c. cold water
2 c. sugar
6 c. milk
4 c. cream
8 tsp vanilla
Dissolve Rennet tablets in cold water. Heat milk, cream and sugar to lukewarm. Add vanilla and dissolved Rennet. Let cool 10 minutes. Pour into freezer & freeze. After frozen, ice freezer and let stand 30-40 minutes.
For Maple Walnut:
Omit vanilla & add 1 1/2 tsp maple flavoring. When almost frozen, add 1 1/2 c. walnuts.
