Walnut cake
Ingredients
11/2 pkts dates
12ounces coconuts
14 ounces walnuts
11/2 cups selfraising flour
1cup sugar
3 eggs
1 can condensed milk (the thick one)
1 cup lukewarm water
1 teaspoon vanilla essencxe
1/2 teaspoon almond essence
little vermouth or whisky
a pinch of salt
method
Mix the eggs and sugar thoroughly.
Add themilk, lukewarm water, vanilla and almond essence, salt and whisky.
Mix the coconuts, dates and flour together,add slowly vto the egg and sugar mixture.
cook in a warmed cooker, gas mark 4 for 1 hour, depends on your cookrt,
check every now anmd than.
