1 unbaked 9 inch pie crust
3-4 cups granny smith apples, sliced
1 (3 1/2 ounce) package coconut cream pudding mix or French vanilla pudding mix (not instant)
Topping:
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Combine apples and pudding mix in mixing bowl. Place in unbaked pie crust. Mix all topping ingredients in a small bowl until crumbly.
Sprinkle over apples and bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes until topping is golden brown and juices are bubbling in pie.
You can try different pudding mixes for diffent flavors. I used the coconut cream pudding and the pie was great!
(When I bake an apple pie, I usually bake it for 15 minutes at 400 degrees and then turn it down to 350 and bake it for about 40 minutes
