Creamed Corn

1/3 c. butter
1/3 c. plain flour
1 c. heavy whipping cream
1 c. milk
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
dash white pepper
5 c. frozen corn, thawed
1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese

In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour until smooth. Gradually add cream, milk, sugar, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil; boil and stir for 2 min. Add corn and heat through.

Pour mixture into a greased 1 1/2 qt. baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese. Broil 5 in. from heat for 3 - 5 min. or until lightly browned and bubbly. Makes 6 - 8 servings.
