Makes 12-16 dozen
5 cups all purpose flour
3 3/4 tsp baking powder
2 cup butter
2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups brown sugar
4 eggs, slightly beaten
2 cups peanut butter
Sift flour, measure and re-sift 3 times with baking powder. Cream butter and both sugars until soft and well blended, but not fluffy. Add eggs and peanut butter; mix thoroughly. Then add flour mixture. Knead in bowl only long enough to form a smooth dough.
Divide into 8 parts and roll each part into a roll about 1 inch in diameter. Cut into 1 inch pieces and place cut side down and one inch apart on an ungreased baking sheets. Press with the tip of a fork to form criss crosses on top. Bake at 350 F for 12-15 minutes.
