Serves 6

1/2 stick butter or oleo
3/4 cup flour
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup milk
2 cups fruit

Melt butter in baking dish in 350 F oven. Sift flour, salt and baking powder together;mix with sugar. Stir in milk. Pour batter over melted butter. Do not stir. Pour fruit (sweetened to taste) over butter. Bake at 350 F for 1 hour.
