Serves 6
6 oz spaghetti, cooked and drained
2 Tbsp margarine
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 well beaten eggs
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green peppers
1 (8 oz) can cut tomatoes
1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp dried crushed oregano
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1 cup cottage cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Stir margarine into hot spaghetti. Stir in parmesan cheese and eggs. Form mixture into a crust in a buttered 10 inch pie pan. In skillet cook ground beef, onion and green pepper until tender. Stir in undrained tomatoes, tomato paste and garlic salt. Heat thoroughly. Spread cottage cheese over bottom of crust. Spread cottage cheese over bottom of crust. Fill pie with meat mixture. Bake uncovered at 350 F for 20 minutes. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over top and bake 5 minutes more or until cheese melts.
