Serves 6-8

12 oz pkg spaghetti, uncooked
2 Tbsp butter, softened
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup cottage cheese
1 lb ground beef
1/2 onion, chopped
1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
18 oz can chopped tomatoes
16 oz can tomato paste
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp dried oregano
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Prepare half of the spaghetti according to package directions, reserving the rest for another recipe. Stir in butter; add Parmesan cheese and eggs. Spoon into a greased 10 inch pie plate; spread cottage cheese over the top. Set aside. In a skillet, brown beef, onion and pepper; drain. Add remaining ingredients except mozzarella cheese. Stir well, pour over cottage cheese layer. Bake for an additional 5 minutes or until cheese melts. Cut into wedges and serve.
