8 medium potatoes, peeled and chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
2 carrots, chopped
3-4 stalks celery. chopped
1 tsp salt
6 cups water
4 chicken bouillon cubes
1/2 cup margarine
1 (13 oz) can evaporated milk
pepper to taste
Combine vegetables, salt and water in a 4-quart saucepan. Bring to a boil. Add bouillon cubes. Simmer until vegetables are tender. Add margarine and evaporated milk. Bring to a boil. Season with pepper.Ladle into serving bowls.
