Sauerkraut Pie
Ingredients:
3-5 cups, drained and chopped sauerkraut
3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1-1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 9 inch pie shell
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Drain sauerkraut again, to make sure it is very dry.Stir in cinnamon.
In a large bowl, combine milk, sauerkraut, sugar,eggs,vanilla and salt.

Bake at 425 F for 35 minutes. Or untill a knife inserted into filling...1 inch from the edge comes out clean.
6-8 servings.
This is a crazy surprise pie, and most unusual, and delicious pie.
If you follow the directions precisely, it will have no sauerkraut taste.
In fact you will wonder why it tastes like so much like coconut !
This recipe has always been a winner at the club.
