Ready in: 30-60 minutes
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 1/4 cup instant potato flakes, PLUS
- 4 servings instant potato flakes
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon instant dried onion flakes
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup grated cheese
Mix ground beef, 1 1/4 c. potato flakes, egg, salt, pepper, onion flakes, catsup and milk. Spread in 9" pie plate. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees F. Prepare remaining potato flakes as directed on the package. Pile on top of meat loaf for meringue. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake for 3 to 4 minutes until cheese melts.
