2 1/2 Cups plain flour
1 1/2 Teaspoon salt
3 Tablespoon Baking powder
4 1/2 Tablespoon sugar
1 1/2 Cup shortening
3 Packages yeast
3 Tablespoon water (warm)
3 Cups butermilk
Disolve yeast in the warm water.Mix it with all the other ingredients, Mix and kneed until smooth. Shape and place on greesed cookie sheet. Bake in a 45o degree oven untill brown (about 10 minutes) If there is any leftover dough place it in a plastic bag in the refrigator and cook another day as needed. Makes 8 servings
