Ready in: > 5 hrs

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 5 potatoes, cut into french fry like strips
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 1 can (16 ounce size) light red kidney beans, drained*
  • 1/4 pound velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1 can (10.75 ounce size) tomato soup
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • butter

Brown the ground beef and drain.

Layer in slow cooker in this order: ground beef, potatoes, onions, kidney beans and cheese. Pour soup over top. Season with salt and pepper. Dot with butter. Cover. Cook on low 6-8 hours.

Cook\'s Notes: * We don\'t use the beans. We use carrots

This is particularly good with Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top at table. Not the one that I usually do but this is what I am doing today.
